BCBUU Holds Online Seminar on High-quality and Innovative Development of Cultural Trade
On Dec 21, BCBUU held an Online Seminar on High-quality and Innovative Development of International Cultural Trade. Participants include Mr. Huang Junxiong, Director of International Communications Division, State-owned Cultural Assets Administration Center of Beijing Municipality (SOCAAC), Mr. Chen Gang, Deputy general manager of Beijing Cultural Investment International Holdings Co., LTD , Prof. Xiao Daibo, Director of Cultural Industries Graduate Program, City University of Macau, Prof. Liu Ziyang, Faculty of Global Business, Kyonggi University, South Korea, Prof. Luo Libin, Vice Dean of School of Economics, Beijing International Studies University, and others. Prof. Liangrui and Dr. Zhang Xin from BCBUU also joined in to deliver keynote speeches. Prof. Chenjianbin, dean of BCBUU welcomed all participants and uttered his expectations on future cooperation with all guests to promote high-quality and innovative development of international cultural trade in Beijing.
On the seminar, Mr. Huang Junxiong briefed the content and significance of the series of events of “Connecting the world, perceiving Beijing” held by SOCAAC; Mr. Chen Gang shared the latest practices and exploration on cultural trade by National Base for International Cultrual Trade, Beijing (NBICT Beijing); Prof. Luo Libin expounded the influence of digital technology empowerment on the spread of Chinese culture and made proposals for the promotion of international impact of Chinese Culture in his speech themed as “Digital economy and the international dissemination of Chinese culture”; Prof. Liang Rui also offered her policy suggestions to the completion and innovation of the business and services provided by NBICT Beijing in alignment to the Guidelines for the construction of National International Cultural Trade Bases.
Prof. Liu Ziyang, Prof. Xiao Daibai, and Dr. Zhang Xin shared respectively with the policy support systems for cultural industries and trade of South Korea, China Macau and Mainland.
The seminar, held after BCBUU had won its initial AACSB accreditation, was aimed to deepen its engagement in the construction of Beijing as national cultural center. It was an embodiment of its mission of "supporting regional development". Meanwhile, it was an initiative BCBUU launched to strengthen its advantages in think tank construction on cultural trade and high-quality talent cultivation, through the development of platforms that congregate the resources of government, industry, universities and research institutes.
