BCBUU Invites Outstanding Alumni to Guide Undergraduates on Career Planning
What skills should a recent graduate (or intern) have to be popular with employers? How can they develop and enhance these skills?
To increase job opportunities and improve employment outcomes for graduates, the Business College of Beijing Union University's New Media Training Camp is hosting an online event on October 28th. The event, titled "Developing Students' Abilities for Business Needs," was led by two remarkable alumni, Liu Shuaikun and Hu Yang, who graduated in 2015 with marketing degrees from BCBUU. The goal is to discover further employment prospects and encourage comprehensive and excellent employment for graduates. Dr. Wang Rong, head of the Marketing program, hosted the event.
Liu Shuaikun, who works at Huawei's Integrated Marketing Department in Greater China Region, was thrilled to share his experience with his fellow alumni. He expressed gratitude towards his alma mater for his own training, and pledged to offer more job opportunities and employment platforms to fellow alumni while contributing to the school's development.
At the online event, Liu Shuaikun and Hu Yang presented a lecture on career planning titled "Wonderful Life Begins with Your Resumes" to their fellow students. Drawing upon their college new media training camp experiences and personal work experiences, the speakers shared insights and lessons learned through PPT display and online communication. They advised their classmates who will soon enter the workforce to avoid being overly ambitious and instead focus on developing a strong professional foundation and enhancing their practical skills.
Finally, Mr. Han Yu, a professional manager, presented a great talk on "Developing College Students' Skills that Meet Business Needs," sharing his experience from 25 years in the workplace. Whether you are a college student gaining work experience, or a beginner searching for an internship or preparing for job interviews, it's crucial to have an in-depth understanding of the industry and workplace. Obtain firsthand experience early on by exploring different employment options. Prepare ahead before recognizing the importance of life.
Graduates who have entered the workforce are crucial for promoting the school's reputation and supporting its development. For years, the Business College has consistently organized the New Media Training Camp, following the path of collaboration between the school and industry while enhancing the integration of practical experience and education. In the future, it will use multi-party resources to help students find jobs and connect with alumni. It will maintain strong ties with alumni to promote the college's growth and share resources between alumni, the college, and businesses.
