I. General Information

The BC Library is a trade-oriented disciplinary library (with access to all BUU Library resources). The library premises cover an area of 2,263 ㎡, including circulation stacks, comprehensive reading rooms, key subject rooms, periodical reading rooms, digital reading rooms, faculty reading rooms, collections, closed stacks, and more.

The BC Library collection houses over 17 million works and boasts over 200 multi-language publications and over 30 multi-language periodicals. The library also has access to nearly 30 multi-language databases, including CNKI, Wanfang Data, SpringerLink, CQVIP, RUC, CSSCI, EBSCOhost, EI, Yinfu Online Testing Platform, Aidikesen Online Lecture Hall, Founder Electronics Reference Library, Digital Scholar, Duxiu, and more.


II. Patron Services (Educational and Research Services)

Library Hours:

1. Circulation Desk

Monday to Friday 8:30-16:30, closed Saturday and Sunday

2. Periodicals

Open Monday to Friday 7:15-21:30

Open Saturday and Sunday 8:30-16:00

3. Digital Reading Room

Open Monday to Friday 7:15-21:30

Scheduled seminars are held Monday to Friday 8:30-16:00

The BC Library offers reference and document retrieval services for faculty and students, and also notifies all faculty members of new publications to facilitate book purchases. The Library also organizes the Reading Star, World Reading Day, and other events that are open to all students in order to encourage reading; the Library urges students to donate used teaching and reading materials to “pay it forward” and spread the wealth of good books. The Library offers daily communication services for faculty and students and organizes lectures, salons, cultural exchanges, and other sorts of events, including long-term BC History exhibitions.
