Live Streaming of Local Agricultural Products: Cultural Link from Orchard to Campus
On Friday afternoon, a unique live streaming of 'Campus Support for Farmers and Sales' was launched in the New Media Digital Marketing practical class, attracting the attention of teachers and students on campus.
The students, born in the new century, acted as "anchors selling goods for their hometown", combining the marketing skills they had learnt in class with apples, a speciality of their hometown. Through the live streaming platform, the "cultural link from the orchard to the campus" hoped for by fruit farmers and students became a reality.
Tian Xinlei, a n International Economics and Trade major from Class 2201B, smiled in front of the live camera with an apple in his hand and vividly told the story of the golden apple of the Trojan War in ancient Greece. Then Yao Ruoshu, a marketing major from Class 2201B, changed the subject to traditional customs, saying that a plate of red apples is a must at Chinese wedding ceremonies, birthday parties and full-month celebrations for newborn babies.
The presenters' vivid descriptions and in-depth cultural information made the atmosphere of the live broadcast room warm and full of cultural atmosphere, and the audience left praising comments. This new media marketing practice class with the theme "College Students Selling Goods for Hometown" not only demonstrated the innovative spirit of college students in the new century, but also conveyed the culture and stories of their hometown. It was a vivid display of the college students' cultural achievements and spiritual characteristics, and expressed their profound cultural heritage and deep affection for their hometown.

During the live broadcast, the students not only introduced the nutritional value of apples in detail, but also told ancient legends and stories related to apples by reciting ancient verses about apples, making the audience feel the charm of Chinese traditional culture and world culture. One student bit out the "Jobs Apple Trademark" while performing and singing, and others talked about "Newton, Apple and his gravitational formula". All the new ideas and innovative performances in the classroom added great interest to the live broadcast.
"It is my first time to try live streaming, I didn't expect to feel so good." Tian Xinlei, an international economics and trade major from class 2201B, said excitedly after the broadcast, "I learned how to apply my marketing skills in this activity, and also tried a new market for apples of my classmate's hometown. It is more intuitive to learn about cross-border e-commerce in the later stage of our curriculum."
This live interactive training of "Campus Support for Farmers and Sales" has greatly improved students' practical operation ability and innovative thinking in the digital economy environment.
